May we remember what we once knew
before we forgot who we were.

At ReMember Institute, we are passionately inspired by 2 concepts:

Sankofa

“Se wo were fi na wosankofa a yenkyi.”
The Twi (Ghanaian language) meaning of Sankofa is, "It is not wrong to go back for that which you have forgotten,” or, as we like to say, “Go back and get it.”

Odo

“Odo nnyew fie kwan.”
The Twi meaning of Odo is, “Love never loses its way home.”

“May everything in the shadows be illuminated. May we reMember what we once knew before we forgot who we were! We are leaving behind the times when we toxically indulged in ignoring, forgetting, and denying. We are emancipating ourselves from the suffering that is caused by doubt and ignorance. We propel ourselves NOW into Humans Being, alive, hearts beating, aligned in the Oneness of the All - God’s divine expression.”
– Rev. Brig Feltus

…and so, we have committed to the following:

Through embracing these concepts, we have discovered that we have everything that we need. “What has been will be again, what has been done will be done again; there is nothing new under the sun.” (Ecclesiastes 1:9) Humanity’s spiritual and mental health does not require new technology so much as we need to demolish and reconstruct broken societal and psychological systems and “go back and get” the original concepts of our divinity and power. At ReMember Institute, we are working to restore integrity to our consciousness by dismantling societal conditioning, miseducation, and trauma-induced maladaptations to overthrow the tyranny of fear and seat love at its rightful place on the throne as the ruler of the hearts and minds of mankind.

We are a virtual home to a global collective of artists, public servants, activists, explorers, environmentalists, healers, scientists, nerds, and spiritualists, from all walks of life, led by teachers and change agents who no longer argue the superiority of our individual disciplines. Instead, like our ancestors, we convene at the intersection of art, science, spirituality, and technology, and acknowledge that each of these is most effective when working in harmonious collaboration with the others.

Who We Are

At ReMember Institute, we are seekers who, in our quest for truth, have been overwhelmed by witnessing the hate, conflict, chaos, and confusion present in our communities. We have felt despondent and impotent at the senseless violence toward and exclusion of members of the global majority, women, members of the LGBTQIA+ community, the disabled, and other marginalized communities. We have been dizzied and disillusioned by the actions of religious organizations that preach love from the pulpit but wage war in our streets. We have been an audience to the noisy, senseless squabbling on social media. We have felt the hollowness of isolation, wallowed in the depths of our depression, wailed and raged in our despair. But despite these trials, our seeking spirits have not been extinguished, and we have been rewarded in our relentless pursuit of truth.

“Society is collapsing, and people are starting to recognize that the reason they feel like they’re mentally ill is that they’re living in a system that’s not designed to suit the human spirit.”
– Jim Carrey

We are an educational institution and community that believes in humanity’s ability to overcome its most challenging disintegrations to create the possibility of more peace, love, joy, and connection for life everywhere.

We offer deeply engaging and transformative courses, events, and experiences designed to:

  • Teach seekers of truth the fundamental laws of the universe embedded in ancient Khemetic and Hermetic philosophy, with the intent to transcend organized religion and empower our community members with the awareness of the truth of their divinity.

  • Provide resources for enrichment and entertainment that improve brain function and aid in finding meaning and symbolism in everyday life.

  • Inspire self-mastery to dispel the widespread, conditioned helplessness and hopelessness that is pervasive in today’s world.

  • Cultivate brave space for processing and expressing deep emotions through creative expression.

  • Support white people in becoming effective allies in the universal quest for equity and justice.

  • Explore eroticism and sensuality as mindfulness practices that reconnect us to our bodies and intuition.

  • Guide our students back to the knowledge of their wholeness as individuals and the irrefutable fact of our interconnectedness as a community.

  • Provide practical tools, thought technologies, rituals, and resources to support members of our community through integrating these lessons into their daily lives.

The Evolution Revolution

We must now choose what master we will serve. Fear or Love. We cannot serve both simultaneously. Only Love can sustain us through all things. Some will choose fear because there is a misconception that actions motivated by fear create safety and protection. This is a lie. You will never be safe in fear. You will certainly never be your greatest and highest expression in fear. Only Love can sustain us. Even in our darkest hours, when we feel that all innocence is lost, those who choose Love will be sustained.”
– Rev. Brig Feltus, Founder

Remember Institute’s mission is to provide resources and opportunities to explore, educate, and empower ourselves to decolonize our minds to benefit humanity's evolution. We have discovered that the only way to achieve this is together because our mission is only complete when the last of us steps across the threshold into this new paradigm. Zen Master Thich Nhat Hanh said, “It is probable that the next Buddha will not take the form of an individual. The next Buddha may take the form of a ‘Sangha,’ a community practicing understanding and loving-kindness, a community practicing mindful living.” We walk in the footsteps of our ancestors, and our path home is illuminated by the eternal light of love. This is not just a practice or a movement, it is a revolution of thought manifest in action.
